Are you a part of the craze for ABC’s Shark Tank? WE LOVE THAT SHOW. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s an exciting reality TV show where entrepreneurs are given the chance of a lifetime to chase their American dream by pitching their brand for the support of billionaire investors (The Sharks). Talk about pressure! One of the brands that we carry at 5 Pound Apparel recently starred in an episode.

Sseko Designs is a company that we support and admire here at 5 Pound. The Sseko team, based in Uganda, uses fashion to educate and empower women. They are passionate about applying ethical business practices to make a difference in the world and their efforts have done just that. Sseko makes it possible for women to earn an income, learn valuable skills, and continue on to college.
